I like this quilt.

Here’s more dyeing using royal blue and black trying to get lighter shades but need bigger spaces between amounts of dye i think.

this will be a car when its finished, using freezer paper to make the pattern ad removed later, come back to see it finished

day out to Caernarfon

on a windy showery day we went to Caernarfon

we went to chester zz last week and while we had a cup of tea some one else had a drink to thourght this would make a good picture.

I had another dyeing session using procion dyes in pint size plastic cups. three colour dyes royal blue, scarlet red and yellow, they were mixed with some black. The mixes were 75 ml red, blue and yellow with 5ml black added to each, red and yellow were mixed 75ml - 30 ml red - yellow, 50ml of each and 30ml - 75ml red - yellow, the same with blue and yellow and red and blue all with 5 ml of black added. the fabric has been soaked in soda  ash solution for 30 minutes. the dye soloution had urea in and salt water was added with the dye solution to the fabric. Once mixed the cups were left for a few days untill I had time to rinse and wash them. I ironed them dry.

Next I will do some paler colours. becky
